The Shul

CONGREGATION SHAAREY TORAH

Located in Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn, New York, Congregation Shaarey Torah, affectionately known as The Shtieble, is a growing Orthodox congregation with deep roots in the community.

Founded in the late 1950’s by Rabbi Yisroel Bergstein z'tl, since May of 2000 the shul is now led and inspired by its Rov and spiritual leader Rabbi Moshe Plutchok, Shlita,
The Shtieble has an unwavering commitment to elevating the lives of countless Jews every day.

Beginning in the morning with a halacha chaburah and three Shacharis minyanim and continuing throughout the day and night with limud torah in the Yeshiva and Kollel, night Seder, and numerous shiurim the sounds of Torah and Tefila emanate throughout the building around the clock.

It is wondrous to see the diversity here where Ashkenazim, Sefardim, Chassidim and many Balei Tshuvah blend together in a warm and friendly environment that is a combination of old-world heimishe, traditional and modern all at the same time.

With several dozens youngsters, from newborns to 17 years old, we have numerous Shabbos groups, Avos U'Banim and youth activities programs.

We also have a large and proud contingent of Russian-American Jews who are active in helping us in our efforts to be makarev Russian youths and families in the largest Russian-American Jewish community in the United States.
